The Nordhavn 60 occupies an interesting position in the lineup, offering substantial interior volume in a package that's more manageable than the 60+ foot models. The 60 shares many of the design philosophies that made Nordhavn the leader in expedition trawlers, with a full-displacement hull form optimized for efficiency at passage-making speeds rather than maximum speed. For buyers who find the N57 too small and the N62 too large for their needs, the N60 represents a middle ground worth considering.

The trade-offs compared to newer models are primarily in systems design and interior refinements. The N60 lacks some of the accumulated improvements that Nordhavn incorporated into the N63 and N64 platforms. For budget-conscious buyers, however, an N60 in excellent condition may offer better value than a more expensive later model. The key is thorough survey attention to the same areas that affect all Nordhavns: stabilizer condition, fuel system integrity, and engine room access for maintenance.
