N35CP

The Nordhavn 35CP (Coastal Pilot) represents a departure from the typical Nordhavn philosophy, designed for higher-speed coastal cruising rather than ocean passagemaking. Built from 2004 to 2007, this semi-displacement design appeals to buyers who prioritize speed over extreme range.

For buyers comparing the N35CP to traditional Nordhavns, the differences are fundamental. Unlike the N40 or N43 which offer 2,000+ nm range and full-displacement efficiency, the N35CP sacrifices range for speed—the 370 hp Yanmar provides 15+ knot capability versus 7-8 knots for traditional Nordhavns. Compared to the similar-sized N41 (current production), the N35CP is faster but has far less range and is not designed for ocean crossing.
